Sometimes, you are walking along enjoying your life, and something unexpected grabs a hold of you and throws you into a deep dark hole you didn't see. Other times, it may seem like just as you climb your way out, you fall back down. And other times, you may not even be able to see to the top. Ideally, we would like to feel pretty well prepared for the unexpected, but our thoughts, our feelings and our behaviors may seem like too much to manage. Whatever phase of your life delivers you difficult situations, in our sessions, we can explore the events you have experienced and how you've responded in ways that have been helpful or maladaptive. And from there, we can practice using your skills and learn new ones so you feel confident responding to any stressor.
